I'm not a dentist, orthodontist, or another type of doctor so I cannot answer many of the questions you asked, but I would highly suggest you obtain a second opinion.

That is quite a lot of teeth, and you also have to look at the long-term affects of having that many teeth extracted, such as a sunken-looking face as you get older.

If that's the only solution, I'm wondering if you can get implants (albeit in a different configuration and position) to replace either the four teeth you may have to have extracted or all eight teeth that have been extrated. Obviously, this is another large investment, and a rather hefty one at that.
