Sorry I can't help you with rotation question, which I'm very interested in because I have the same problem with the same tooth, but I have both 2nd lateral tooth rotated.

About questions that arise after you leave the ortho's office. I keep a notepad with me and I write all my questions down and I bring it in on my next adjustment. In fact, my ortho expects my questions already since I've done it on every adjustment. He sometimes just takes my notepad and reads the questions and writes the answer down for me as he explains the answers to my questions. I think ortho's will appreciate that you interested and taking a pro-active approach towards your dental work.
