great post eleni! If you want it bad enough, and will work for it, and sacrifice, you'll be able to do it. Like others said, orthos will do payment plans. Do you have any insurance that will cover some of the cost? Probably not, with a part time job, so you may have to pay some upfront. If I hadn't had insurance, my ortho would have charged me $800 up front, and let me pay the rest over the course of the treatment. And definately find out why your parents are so against it. Understandable if they don't have the money, but if they realize how important braces are to you, maybe they will sacrifice as well.
