Dr., I had two upper teeth extracted, and power chains used to close the gaps. But on the right side, the tooth slid all the way over to the other side of the space, and now my doc is trying to move it back to about the middle of the gap. However, tooth that moved so much before has now not budged in several months, and I am wondering if this could be the result of a damaged PDL.

Could you tell me how PDL damage is diagnosed - x-ray, or what?

Thanks!
