Sounds that way. Whenever I break anything my ortho sees me right away, usually the same day! My ortho wouldn't even let me get clear braces, he said they wouldn't work in my case for whatever reason. The only thing that really annoys me about my ortho is that he often surprises me with things even though I asked to be warned ahead of time about things like elastics and powerchains. I also find that the assistants are kind of unfriendly, but I guess that should be the least of my problems. I recently brought up a concern about foods to eat because it seems I can't eat things that even most people with braces can, like pizza, bagels and cereal. When I brought this up, their response was, "oh those things don't hurt your braces, its hard foods and candy, those are the only way brackets break". It's like, are you deaf, I just told you I don't eat that stuff and I'm the one paying for all this treatment, why would I be stupid enough to eat candy? This is just my opinion, but unless an adult always has a problem, I feel they should take their word for it, since they're the paying customer.
