So are mine. I have ceramic uppers and EVERYONE I run into thinks I wear a retainer only. I think there's a definite difference between ceramics and metal and you really shouldn't be pressured into believing that there isn't. There's nothing wrong with going all metal. But there's nothing wrong with going ceramic either. Those who have grey ligatures for less staining do so by choice, just as I go with Glow ligatures for less staining but keeping with a tooth color. Your ceramics CAN be pretty clear. They have powerchains in glow too, you don't have to go with a bright color unless you WANT to. Bottom line is: ceramic braces are as invisible as you attempt to keep them. I've had mine for a year now and close friends are still asking me when I got braces because until they got really close, they didn't know I had them.
