i agree with the previous posters to an extent but some people just want the ceramics for themselves. I just wouldnt be able to handle all metal braces. U can still see them yes, but they arent as noticeable as metal brackets and in pictures u cant even see them. Now im going to be a junior in high school so it may b different for me, i jsut didnt want braces in all my high school picts and stuff and just plain wanted ceramics. But i have seen so many people who look so cute it all metal braces. Id say if ur having so many doubts then to maybe wait and see. They both have their advantages and disadvantages but the unlimate decision is all up to u.

pros
-They are a tiny bit bigger not that much
-the clear ties can stain but my ortho used stain resistant clear ties so mine dont
-i can still put colors on my bottom braces to have fun
-they dont really irritate my canker sores as much(and for me that was a big thing
cons
-but they can break when they come off(maybe chipping a tooth i dont know)
-sometimes it may make teeth look a little more yellow
-curry, dark sodas, coffee, tea, MUSTARD, things with mustard(i had this sausage stuff at a party that didnt look to have any mustard but they were stained nice and yellow. and that was b4 the stain resistant ligs), and i dont really know what else. red sauce might stain but im not sure.
-for u, u would have to go through getting them on again.

ok well there is my little pros and cons list. Hope it helped some...i tried...=)
