When my license expired in 2001, I already knew that braces were a possibility. I knew that the subject would come up after I finished treatment for TMJ.

In Wisconsin they do not require a new license, they just give you a sticker to extend the expiration date another 4 or 8 years. As opposed to having to get a new picture with braces, the sticker method would be an advantage. I think this is a dangerous practice (big source of debate when the DMV came up with this one !!) and I now look forward (!?!?) to seeing the renewal notice in my mailbox this winter. That says alot, if you have ever visited a DMV in Wisconsin (serious lack of personality LOL) I'll shell out a few extra $$$ for a new plastic, sans braces, instead of another sticker as I'm sick of seeing my outdated, crooked smile from 1997 !!!

Hannah :-)
