I had jaw surgery and it is not a problem, there is some slight discomfort following surgery. The result is dramatic and well worth it. I am very satisfied and very glad I had surgery. I am currently three weeks post-op and the swelling has decreased by maybe 80%. Presently, my jaws are wired together (a typical proceedure following surgery. I think the best thing I can say about the surgery is; you are fortunate that you can have it, it's absolutely amazing how much of a change it makes.
