I have a chin that sits to far back, its not particularly bad but I also have an overbite so it looks worse. Anyway the plan for my teeth, I had two choices 4 teeth out or jaw surgery, I said no surgery. So the teeth came out and he said that with the teeth out it gives him achance to move the back teeth forward out of the back corners of my mouth and that will in effect bring my lower jaw a little further forward because there wont be so much of a wedge in between my jaw, oh by the way I have a bit of an open bite aswell. I hope this makes ense to you, It sounds pretty reasonable to me as far as I know I havent had any mention of strange appliances but I only got them on 4 weeks ago. Hope this helps
