Listen, some of us feel pain more than others and have sensitive bodies. It is totally unfair of us to try to meet standards of people who don't feel the pain in the first place; no wonder they can be brave! If we didn't feel it much, we could be stoic too! I used an oral surgeon to remove my wisdom tooth. It was obscenely expensive ($600 for one tooth) but I knew nothing from the time I sat down and they put the IV in my arm until hours later. I remembered totally nothing, I had no swelling, no bleeding, zero pain! If you can afford it, go that way. Why stress yourself with a dentist wrestling it out while you are awake and novocain that makes you chew up your mouth while it is numb? If you are anxious and have a low pain threshold and are easily grossed out, then protect yourself and never mind the toughies who go through it with nothing but their guts!
