I can see where it would aggravate your TMJ. I didn't have a problem with jaw soreness before, but it is now! I'm thinking it's gotta be part of the process. I have a deep bite that has to opened up. I can't get the bottom braces on until my top teeth have moved to give them enough room. I'm thinking the banging together will stop once they've moved just a little more. I can't see how it would work any other way :-( I really hope your TMJ doesn't start acting up...
