This is an interesting topic. There are great dentists and doctors out there. I had to change my dentist because it took about a year to get into cleanings because he was always out of the office. I personally think he was in the process of closing his practice. I really liked him.

My current dentist was recommend by my ortho. Actually my ortho uses my family dentist. I really like this guy. His office enviromnent is very personable and so is he. His staff is good also. The only thing is that he charges high prices for the area..BUT since he knows his stuff, listens to me and my concerns and is very concerned about his patients needs, I'm willing to fork out the extra bucks.
