You have four "front teeth" - central incisors (two top, two bottom). Behind those are lateral incisors (one on either side of the central incisors, so you have a total of 4 - two top, two bottom). Then come the canines (aka. cuspids), which there also 4 of, just like the lateral incisors. Behind the canines are first bicuspids (premolars) (named because they have two points) and then second bicuspids. Then we have first molars, second molars, and third molars. Third molars are also called wisdom teeth. If you want to get really technical you can put "maxillary" (upper) or "mandibular" (lower) in front of the names...as in "maxillary lateral incisors". You could also refer to them by number, like your dentist does so that you can understand what he's telling his assistant. I won't bore you with those details though.

To summarize, going back from the center right or left: central incisor, lateral incisor, canine (cuspids), first bicuspid, second bicuspid, first molar, second molar, and third molar. Hope this helps.
