I have Essix. They really are invisible! They are very tight, too, and affect my speech just a little. I have taken some ibuprofen already to ward off what feels like some aching that is on its way from the pressure, especially on the molars. These are just another thing to get used to, I can tell. But I am determined to wear them exactly right forever and keep my new teeth. I expect my teeth are stressed from the debanding and will settle down in a couple of days, like after an adjustment.

The really weird thing for me is that my front teeth were straight before--my canines were the problem and a few lower teeth that didn't show. So now my smile really isn't that different to the casual observer; I bet anything people who didn't know I had braces won't be able to tell any difference in my smile! I did it for myself and to keep my teeth the rest of my life, but for the amount of $ and pain, it seems I should have neon teeth flashing "Expensive Orthodonia Here!"
