I second your thoughts!
When I got my braces removed I was almost in tears. I couldn't stand the scraping and sanding. I said enough because I knew my dentist would do the rest under a mild topical anesthetic. One time when I asked my ortho if a procedure would hurt, he said, "No, not me at all." The jerk. I'm glad to be finished.
