The truth (IME):
Spacers are nothing compared to braces. Whoever wrote that they were the worst part must be kidding...
Spacers are a walk in the park compared to the braces. The spacers don't even rate as far as pain and discomfort go!
After the braces are on for 2-3 weeks they are OK. Until the next adjustment (OOOOOWCH!!)....
IMO fixing your teeth will be worth every ache!
So go for it!!
