I am about to enlist into the Army.I have a full set of braces upper and lower and an RPE.I have had my appliance in for about 3-4 months now and am almost done with activating it.Understandably I will have to have all metal removed in order to attend basic training which is 9 weeks long but the recruiter has told me that I will be able to get everything put back on directly after.I don't want my progress with the appliance to go to waste,so is there ANY kind of retainer or something that can be worn while I am in Basic training?I would ask my ortho but my next app. is not until August. Thanks for any help.
