Christina, who posted here for a while, was in the army and served overseas. She had her braces on the whole time, which meant she went quite a while without adjustments. I think her ortho may have replaced her ligatures with wire ties... can't remember exactly. Are you sure you'll have to have them removed for training? I guess if they say you must then you must, but the fact that they let someone go overseas with them is promising... they may let you keep them on. Worth asking, I guess?
