I have had the braces on for 12 days now! I don't regret getting them on even though they hurt for the first few days. The problem I am having now is my back right molar really hurts. The bracket on that tooth (it has no wire on it yet) is starting to push into the side of my cheek, leaving a big dent. All of my wisdom teeth are impacted but the right side is the worst. The orthodontist said that at this point he doesn't feel he needs to remove any teeth. I'm glad I don't need any teeth out but I must admit the whole idea of keeping impacted wisdom teeth seems strange! Part of his plan is to widen the arch in my mouth and that's going to make room for all of my teeth (somehow, some way! lol). Right now I don't see how this is going to work but maybe it's too early for me to start determining that. It's not that I don 't trust my orthodontists (I have two of them who work together so I have both of their opinions!) I am just really curious about these wisdom teeth. Plus, my jaw and ears are aching and driving me bananas!
