I've got five days on you. Same thing, clear on top. I cried when I got home on Friday. I hid at home during the weekend and finally went to work on Monday cringing. Most people didn’t notice, until the moment I would get self conscious and put my hand in from of my mouth. Lesson – trying NOT to bring attention to something actually brings MORE attention to it!!!
People are so rushed they don’t notice. And how many people look at just your mouth when you talk? They look at eyes, what you’re wearing, how you’re standing, the cute person who just walked by behind you, they space out, etc. And after the first surprised –“Hey you got braces!” exclamation, you say “Yeah I did, neat huh” and let the moment pass.
People have said we’ll forget about them – I’m skeptical too, but then again we are too new to this.
Another reason to celebrate this weekend, you’ll be able to eat something other than soup, oatmeal or yogurt. I say, PARTY!!!!
