About your friend, and a night retainer, would you go that way or full braces? i was offered a 24/7 retainer to 'try' fix my underbite, but in my heart i knew that a retainer(same as the ones we get when we brace free), couldnt fix my underbite, i kept thinking how in the world can it be fixed just by a reatainer? and after all this time in braces im glad i went the full metal, most of us here will prolly all need a retainer for life , thats just the way it is for us adults :) hehehe..

once again thanx for your reply, and thanx for explaining your reason for what your said,, and plase keep replying to posts, i think i meant it in general about adding fuel to the fire, but it didnt read that way .. it wasnt aimed at anyone in particular :) ..sorry if it came out wrong

PS looking at your friends teeth do you think that a retainer would work only at night? i can see it working if its stopping a ovwrbite getting worse or a underbite, but what do the teeth do when they not being retained. do they move all around, then get held firm at night? im thinking this way, becuase when i had elastics and missed a day rushin to work, i could feel my teeth move a wee bit, same when a wire breaks, you feel teeth goin back pretty fast ,
