The ortho didn't mention anything about having to use an expander. I'm not sure how he's going to do it, but I trust him. Believe me, I'll be sure to ask about it when I go in for the spacers. He also said that he may shave some of the teeth down a bit depending on how much my jaw widens out.

My general dentist is trained in orthodontics and she has her degrees on the wall in the waiting room. She also has a board with pictures of the people she is currently treating with braces. She's the only one in her office, but every time I'm in there, she's not too busy and there has never been anyone in the waiting room. I think she keeps her schedule open for emergency appointments, so in my mind, I don't think there's any reason for her to be in a rush. Oh well, we'll see how it goes.
