I have a very short (but very sharp) piece of wire coming out of my upper back molar band. I was told the same thing, but I honestly can't figure how I would get a nail clipper back that far...and if I did, then how would I possibly keep from doing damage to my gum, cheek, or braces??

Sorry I haven't been any help, just wanted to let you know you aren't the only one unsure about that advice. I called the ortho's office and they didn't hesitate to have me come in and have it clipped. I just don't feel comfortable doing it myself. So I feel sure your ortho wouldn't mind having you come in and have the offending wire clipped. Best of luck to you!!

Melody
