I did not react yet on your parable because I had to think it over. I guess in the story I am the pastor and Rita is the little dog torturer. Now you can certainly place Rita's lying and deceiving into another perspective and argue that making up stories is not the worst crime. Maybe you are right. However there is one big difference between me and the pastor. The pastor is not a victim of the little dog torturer and I am indeed a victim of Rita. She wasted my time for many years. There is also a major difference between Rita and the little lying dog torturer: The dog torturer readily admits he is making up stories, it is even a competition but Rita, until this day, does not admit she tried to fool us, for many years.

I find it by the way very strange that have no problem at all with her deceiving character. Apparently you have different moral standards then I have.
