I think if the parents love both children in the same degree, a younger child is anyway privileged. Older children have to grow up earlier, they are often blamed for the things
forgiven to their younger brothers or sisters. Nobody tells you that you should behave yourself to
be a good example for your younger brother or sister, nobody says you should yield him or her
as you're older. But on the other hand, parents can love one of the children a bit more and then it does not matter, which of them is older. In the family of my parents my father loved me more than my younger sister and my grandmother loved Vic more than me and thought that the parents underestimate her.

But the worst thing is when a husband is getting jealous of his own child because his wife can't any longer give him as much attention as she gave before they had a baby. In this case only the father is guilty and such behavior can't be excused.
