Subject: Something exciting from nothing?
In reply to: Peter van der Hoog 's message, "Re: as I am searching for the truth myself...." on Wed, January 08 2003, 12:18:58

>I tell you for the hundredth time: I was not serious.
>The style is over the top, over-emotional, it’s a copy
>of your style. You should know by now I’m not like
>that.

And not like this, are you?
No, that does not comfort me at all. I have a problem myself. No health problem
this time, quit smoking paid of. No, it’s something else. I wish I could get it of my
chest.

Why not call a spade a spade?(Poruchik, no comments
>please!)
>>Poruchik, please comment. Why should you not comment?

Don't you think that Poruchik's last comment about 'call a spade a spade' sim months ago was a bit vulgar?

>You are like those people who try to make out of
>nothing something exciting.

Nothing exciting, only some additional details.

The truth is simple and
>boring: I want to know if you really married BF.

The truth is simple, but details are very interesting. At least for me.

No,
>I’m not a journalist and no, I’m not from the KGB.

Since when have you been taking my jokes literally, Pete? Where is your famous
sense of humor you're so proud of?

I’m
>an ordinary guy with a hang up if you are telling the
>truth.

You are an ordinary guy with a mania.

>You are getting nasty.

Yeah, I know. Didn't I tell you: wanna people to get nice with you, treat them nice? As simple as that.

I already admitted that I have
>a bad memory. No need to rub it in. The information
>you gave about Regina was one of the exceptions, where
>you did give some information.

I really don’t get why being aware of your bad memory you did not even save any info
I gave you. I can’t find any logic in it.

You even forgot it
>yourself.

No wonder, I can't remember all what I wrote during these years.

When I really was convinced you married BF,
>I would never ask such questions. With my girlfriend I
>hardly ever discuss previous relationships, it’s not
>taboo but it’s also not a favourite subject. That
>makes me wonder. Your second husband wrote a book
>about his wife’s first marriage and recorded details
>my girlfriend would never share with me. When you want
>to describe such a marriage you get personal involved.
>I tell you, when I would start a relationship with a
>woman I would never volunteer to write a book
>about her previous marriage.

Sorry, but unlike you I ain't gonna discuss the details of my private live on public
forum anymore. Send your questions by email, please, and I’ll answer you....maybe.

>Your traps are … I wanted to write ‘pathetic’, but
>let’s say ‘sweet’.

When they are pathetic, why have you fallen in them?

>Doubles? Sorry, I have no idea what you are talking
>about.

'A double' is a well-known euphemism for 'a water-closet'. Strange that you never
heard of it.

>Ok, but you don’t recognize anything in the “feet
>ahead” description?

The KGB style can't have remained unrecognizable, Peter! And sure, when you're
writing an ordered article, a bit awkward walk of your subject(just think of it: the
main enemy of the Soviet chess school! If the enemy don't give up he is annihilated!)
is a good reason for making a laugh-stock of him.

>You must have noticed that I changed my email address
>from AltaVista to Yahoo. All the mails from AltaVista
>I lost. I must have thought that the mails you (or
>Todd) referred to were from the AltaVista account.

For the last time: I noticed, that in May you already changed your address to Yahoo.
In one of my letters from October I asked you bluntly, whether you fulfil your
promise from July,2. Your answer was: 'Sorry, I lost all my correspondence from
that time'. What should I think?

>You mean Regina stayed at your parents’ home?

You got it.

>Finding out if you really married BF is not important.
>But I have to follow that road.

You seem unaware that you can’t follow that road alone.

>None. I have one about Timman, one about Karpov and
>two (very recently!) about Fischer.

Only four chess books? Why so few, Peter?

>Don’t worry; my eyes are in good order. But I did not
>want to get too explicit. Todd is also reading this
>conversation.

As you can see, Todd is not interested in our conversation at all. You even got
offended from him for such an attitude.

>That makes it all so exiting!

Something exciting from nothing?

>>How about your problem?
>Don’t you want to discus that?
>>With you???
>Yes, with me. Who else?

Why do you want do discus it?
