Hi Butch,

Havn't seen you in forever! I bet your pup is getting big now. It's getting to the hot time of year now. I most likely will not be able to make the trip as often as I was all winter. It was fun though! ;-)

I was looking for more ways to slow a fast tracker.

I was thinking of stuff like
1)more turns or articles for the advanced dog,
2)feeding a little before the track for a hectic type food motivated dog,
3)teaching a command to slow down away from the track, ,
4)changing equipment (like Nancy said) using a prong, or a harness, (whatever would work for your particlar dog). ,

Which would bring us to this question,,

In what indivdual cases would these things apply? How would you read the dogs to know which of these "methods" might work?
