I'm with Michael, IVAN IS A GENIOUS AT DOG TRAINING! I have dobermanns, Ivan took my dobe at 1 year old when I got her and in 5 months I had my French ring Brevet and in 4 more got my French Ring 1, then I moved and had some difficulty getting the outs back for the 2. My schutzhund dobe had her schutzhund 1 at 21 months thanks to Ivan's methods of using his brain instead of back ties, whips and everything else that is so ingrained in this sport. Dogs can title young and fast his way and NOT just malinois, dobermanns are way too similar to malinois to rule him out as just a mali trainer. Spend as much time with him as you can to glean information from him becaeuse he's not just going to explain everything unless it's a seminar. Day to day training is where you can pick up so many things from him that the majority of trainers are lightyears behind...
