On the Daily SHow last night, Jon said "we applaud you social activist for your documentary ... what's this? HE's being socially active ... BOO BOO MR. Social Activist, we don't like you're social activism."

Then he suggested a few things to complete the transformation of applause to booing back to applause:

1. Lose some weight (places different body on Mike's head)
2. Become more attractive (puts that Piano guy best actor head on top of his skinny body)

and then he shows the tear jerking speech that everyone applauds. God what a sissy. Just get up there and say the war is bullshit, because it is. Don't half-ass it in this "we are the world" montage of tears. And by the way, I haven't seen the Pianist, and I never will because of that asshole.

I thought Daniel Day-Lewis was unbelievable in Gangs of New York and it was blasphemous to fuck him like that.

Michael Moore's speech was interesting. I wonder if the other documentarians knew what he was doing? That part seemed a little tacky.

Finally, I wish I were Jack Nicholson. God that motherfucker is cool.

Look forward to seeing everyone in Hotlanta and hitting some bars and macking the lesbians.

On Friday night Angela Davis (super famous activist from the 60s) spoke at my school and she got several standing ovations. one of these occurred as she read the open letter michael moore had sent schrub about him being fradulent and the war being shit. so everyone was clapping and saying amen at agnes scott. then, i am brough tback to the real world in watching the oscars when, after receiving an oscar, he is booed off stage. did hollywood have an identity crisis or something???

Considering that actors and artists are being blacklisted if they appear unpatriotic (see: Dixie Chicks, Sean Penn) they have to pander to the masses. Most of their market is the lowest common denominator. This market already feels alienated by them considering most movie goers live paycheck to paycheck while hollywood is full of millionaires.

What happened at the Oscars really didn't suprise me. That whole industry is about money, and while I applaude the few who are morally strong enough to say what they feel is right and put their careers in jeopordy, most of them are just greedy sons o bitches.
