Thanks for your offer Carl ... I have access to the 1850 images for Virginia so I don't need those. I also have access to 1880 transcriptions and the 1782-1784 census info.

I am in need of the following years: 1800, 1810, 1820, 1830, 1840, 1860, 1870, 1900. I am not sure the 1890 special census would help us as it may not list confederate soldiers.

I ran across something interesting yesterday concerning the 1782-1784 Hampshire County census. The work I read said that if a family was listed in the 1782 census bit "not here" in the 1784 census to check the 1790 Pennsylvania census for the SW counties as most of them would be listed there. Since Charles Queen was listed as "not here" in 1784 I checked the PA census and, sure enough, there is a Charles Queen listed in Washington County.I still don't understand the reason why the Hampshire County people are found in a PA census. I only have access to the index for 1790 so I don't know if it is our guy.
