Sounds pretty much like USACi rules, but not as technical. I applaud you for taking on this adventure, but I do have a few objections.
1) Using 4 ohm factory ratings is unfair to competitors that cannot afford the monster 1 ohm stable amps that they will lose to. For example, Johnie with his ultra clean x brand 300W amp that is only 4 ohm stable vs. Tom with his y brand 1200W at 1 ohm amp that is rated at 300W at 4ohms. That is not fair.
2) I am in extreme, and there needs to be rules. I theoretically could make a SMALL sealed box with a hole for a mike and burp 170's all day with a 10 and a 300w amp. It would be port wars.
3) There needs to be more seperation from stock and modified. There is no difference between leaving in fold up rear seats in some trucks(mostly oler models like rangers with folding jump seats) and taking them out. Are all walled vehicles extreme? If the box sticks up above the windows, are they in extreme vs. me with a heavily modified and reinforced interior?

These reasons are why we asked MECA to sanction our events and not USACi, DbDrag, or IASCA. MECA is the fairest of rules. I don't agree with all of them but they are fair to the SPL competitors, and SQ is judged on sound quality and not on what screws you used and how many accesories you have on your vehicle.
