Subject: Now I look like an idiot

This thread got me all fired up. We trained sunday and I was going to show everybody how food could make an AB look sharp in OB. I am working on the defense of handler. I heeled around in front of decoy Youngblood using food, looked pretty good. Then I put the dog in a sit, the decoy shakes hands, and I am no longer able to use food because now the dog is guarding the decoy as she walks backwards. She has one eye on the decoy and one eye on the little bit of plastic sticking out of my pocket (the food bag). He hits me, she bites him, but she is looking at the food bag, listening to the alluring sound of plastic rustling. Her concentration sucked.

We do it again without the food. Much better. I learned my lesson.
