Subject: Clarification of announced CIRF trial.

Just passing this information along to all French Ringsport participants....

Please find attached a letter from CRA President Tim Watts in regard to the announced CIRF trial. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact Tim directly or myself (Vince Nelles at vlnelles@shaw.ca).

Could you please ensure that all clubs and all club President's are aware of this, as we would hate to see any CRA / NARA members unknowingly enter this event as it is NOT a sanctioned trial.

All board members of CRA and NARA,

A short while ago, it was announced publicly that, "The Canadians in Ringsport Federation (CIRF) along with an associate the Metro Toronto Ringsport Club wishes to announce a trial and seminar officiated by one of Frances best known Judges, Dr. Aime Sauvage."

The CRA was not contacted by Mr. Cudahy to ask permission to hold this trial and Metro Toronto Ring Club is not a CRA member club, so the CRA's commissioner of French Ring, Vince Nelles, was asked to contact the SCC to find out if this could be a legal or legitimate trial. The reason for this investigation was based on the understanding that the CRA was the governing body for Ring in Canada, and NARA was the governing body for French Ringsport in the USA.

Vince (with the assistance of Pierre Lafond as a translator) contacted the SCC's Mr. Delpeche, the head of the GTR in France and the man who is currently responsible for organizations such as the CRA and NARA. Vince was told by M. J. C. Delpeche that ONLY the CRA and NARA are and can be the governing body in their respective regions. There are to be no other organizations allowed, including the CIRF.

Mr. Delpeche has also spoken with the judge that was to officiate at the supposed Metro Toronto Trial, and Dr. Sauvage has been told he may NOT sign any SCC related score books whatsoever. It was also mentioned to the CRA that any score books that are signed from this or any other non-sanctioned trials are illegitimate, and serious repercussion to the owner of the book could result.

Please let the entire Ringsport community know of this issue, as to not cause any misunderstanding.
