You might be missing what I was trying to say. the Old covenent is certainly not what we are bound to if we are bound to Christ. but to be bound to Christ means that He owns 100% of what we have not just a 10% tithe. if we give according to the Spirit's leading than we will find ourselves better givers not worse. Most people use the argument that tithe was of the Law to defend their poor attitude toward giving. The New Covenent in Christ should cause us to suceed where the old covenent didnt. We are not bound to the Law but bound to our Master Jesus Christ. Giving cannot save anyone because that would be salvation by works but a giving nature is certainly a result of the New Birth
