I was a medic stationed at the 11th USAF Hospital, U-Tapao AB, Nov 72 - Nov 73. Our 1st Sgt. woke everyone in the medical barracks that night and had us all report for duty at the hospital. The fear was the damaged B-52 had hit the village just off base. It hadn't. I helped bring in one of the first bodies recovered from the crash site.
