Dear sirs,As manager of Winterton rangers i would just like to offer a contribution to the discussion on the game.
We have been having similar problems to yourselves with regard to the performances the team has been producing recently and while the game was very far from being a classic my team worked really hard and spoiled whenever possible,had the chance in the 1st thirty seconds been converted then i am sure the confidence of your side would have soared and we would have been facing a massive task.
However it wasnt and despite the fact that the quality football albeit in small measure was coming from your side we stayed in the game and when given the opportunity we took it.
No blame can be attached to a manager or coaches for the goals that were conceded they were bad goals defensively and i am sure the players are aware of thier responsibility.
We are a much smaller club than yourselves but we are striving to improve both the ground and playing strengths and results like Saturday only serve to offer encouragement to both the board and sponsors alike so naturally we are delighted to have progressed.
I would like to close by saying thanks to the management players and supporters for the way in which they dealt with thier obvious dissappointment,and wish the club all the very best for the remainder of the season.
