Date Posted: 14:23:20 08/08/03 Fri Thanks Frank for airing my views on the website. But I feel I must reply once again- our kit man (Mike- god love him) must spend a month or six with Marine- their shirts are white ask them! An all white kit would not look grubby in a month, this is a load of garbage, as mud bath pitches are from a different era. The all white kit was worn during our most successful period so therefore it has more significance than any previous away kits. By the 1971 final the all white kit had become the first choice kit regardless of any colour clash. You are missing the point- ITS ABOUT HISTORY AND TRADITION- NOT PRACTABILITY. Does the white kit mean nothing to the committee ? P.S don't shoot Swampy, he's my Hero. D.B. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
