The Latter Avesta religion was virulently antiabortion. Zarathushtra did not mention the subject. He was interested in giving us general principles to be used to live an Asha ( Right) like life. By Inference, we can say that according to Zarathushtra life is good , and thus ought not be terminated by unnatural means. It is also important to note, however, that the main teaching of the Manthran( Thought Provoker) is that we study all things carefully with an enlightened or well informed mind and then choose what to do, so ... Like in most things we are left to choose according to what is Asha like , since Asha is the Law of the Cosmos and its defined as Right and Good , we must study it and and choose according to what we believe it teaches and not according to our whims or desires.

I believe that what the Zoroastrian position is in these and all matters we choose according to what we believe is right and according to the information we have and we listen to both our minds and our hearts. We must, also, be ready to correct our actions if they are ever found to be definitely wrong.

Ashai
