Subject: Is Zoroastrianism the real source of Christianity?

I am not a theologian. I am a physician. But in reading other discussions I have read that much of Christianity is derived from Zoroastrian Theology. I may be wrong and will appreciate being corrected. I read that the God versus Satan final battle is in the Avesta as that of Ormuzd (Ahura Mazda) versus Aingra Maingu (sp?). I read that Baptism, Saving grace, redemption, a resurrecting son of God come from the Mithraic sub-sect of Zoroastrianism. Some think that Jesus was founded on Mithra. Does anyone know if any of this has merit or not?
