I has occured to me that some of you may be in violation of proper flag flying. I was a custodian once and was in charge of the flying of the flag. It was a job I took very seriously. ( to this day I don't know why i got fired. Maybe that Gopher-bomb incident ) Any way. Please follow these rules when displaying Old Glory. Never, I said never let that sucker touch the ground. If it is stained or torn fix it, and don't fly it until it looks its best. ( I washed mine in Tide and cold, cold water ) Don't fly it in the dark. It should go up at sunrise, or when ever you get up. ( for me that's about 11:30am ) Take it down at dusk. There's alot more to it than that, but if you follow these rules you'll be doin good. So go out there and flag your fly, oops I meant fly your flag.

Are there any rules that deal with making a little halter top out of your flag? I hope it's ok to do . . . to cut and sew the flag. I want to display my patriotism and my firm rack all at the same time!

I guess my flag needs to be washed.. should I take the fishing weights that I tied to it, off too? I hated the way it kept waving in the wind.

We are all so patriotic! I am so proud of us. . . as I am of our entire country. (Note to No one: I often put a snuggle dryer sheet or two in the dryer with my flag to give it that spring fresh scent as it blows in the wind! That way it spreads a sweet scent along with my patriotism!LOL!)
