My advice is... don't use the lid!! As long as you can't see anything wrong with the sauce in the jar, it's perfectly fine!! That goes for anything.. like meat.. if there is a discolored or unusual smelling bit.. just cut it off, and serve the rest to your family!! (and then sneak out to the nearest Jack in the Box and pick yourself up a double bacon cheeseburger!!) .... Don't throw away three whole bucks on a little mold!!
