Did you write the gps program yourself?

If so, then you jus need to eat the button presses yourself in your own application so that you do not exit your application.

If this is someone elses program, then please write them and ask them to add it to their program. In my mind it really should be in the gps program already, specifically for the reasons you mention. Please send me a direct email if I can help out more in any way.
