Hi Ken,
This is in response to your post on the forum.
Under preferences, if you tap the "i" in the upper right corner, it explains what each of the preferences are.
There is explains that the ignore vr key is designed to ignore a quick press (shorter than your short time) of your vr key. This is because many people on the T3 keep pressing this key by accident when the device is on. It also says the ignore setting is mutually exclusive with the VR=pagedown key.
So there is the explanation. Those two features are for when the device is powered ON. In the preferences menu, there is a horizontal line in the menu. Everything above the line is preferences for when the device on already on.
The items below the line are the stayoff functionality. If you want the VR key to not turn the device on, then just configure the Stayoff functionality to be enabled, and check the buttons you want ignored when the device is off.
