This is what you need to do, as the local will only do the cradle/cable. Under hotsync, choose Modem, and then choose a new service and call it Bluexxx so you know this is your bluetooth connection. Then in the connection pulldown of the Blue xxx service, choose the bluetooth connection you have chosen for your local bluetooth hotsync. Now for your special function, choose Modem Hotsync instead of local and it should work for you.

Sorry the hotsync application does not allow itself to be launched in that way. Please see above for a method that will allow it to work.
