Subject: The Sweet Taste of Victory

(The camera comes up on the now instantly recognizable loft, the room golden as always with candle light. Karma is smiling, obviously very pleased with something. She glances towards the camera and starts to golf clap, laughing just a little as she speaks)

Karma: Oh, well done gentlemen! Mr. Logan, it has been a while since I saw such rage and such domination over one's opponent. I must admit though that it was rather short. You could have toyed with him a little more for my taste but I think they will still all think how impressive it was. Beautiful work, indeed. Speaking of beautiful work...

(Karma gets a sly little smile as she slinks in to an overstuffed black leather chair, leaning back in the plush comfort, watching the camera still as she drapes one leg over the arm and leans against the other...not unlike a cat finding a particullarly comfortable place to sunbathe)

Karma: Steven and Lilith...now -that- is what I call a true firing. Painful, humiliating...definately a message sent. And they called you an animal?

(Karma scoffs as she casually studies her nails)

Karma: Far from. You are a beast, this much is true but you are far too intelligent to be called an animal. Mr. Ash made it a point to pick someone ruthless and someone that would do what he needed done with style. You did just that. Lilith was a nice edition to our little crew, I think. Distract them all by sending a beautiful woman...watch their faces as she announces you? Nice...very nice. Speaking of very nice things...

(That smile of Karma's becomes more serious as she lays the hand she was studying against her leg)

Karma: Santiago, I must admit I was a little worried as was all of your fans but I knew that you would take the proverbial wind out of his sails. You used his dirty little trick to your advantage and almost caved the bucaneer's skull in. Fuck fear...indeed. I think you just showed why you should soon be looking for a title shot. I know such things are not overly important and that you want respect more than titles, but...such things are nice as well, yes? Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the new breed of superstar here in the HWA. We are all here to stay for quite a long time and as Logan said? You are with us or against us. We are as we are...and we have just proven ourselves superior.

(The camera keeps on Karma as she closes her eyes, relaxing fully in her chair, then smiles to herself as the camera fades to black)
