Subject: A reminder

(Camera comes up in a empty Stadium after Monday Night Glory. Some lights are still on around the ring but everything else is pitch black. Suddenly the sound of clapping is heard and DeSante appears from the dark seats. He removes his black coat and tosses it to the side as he slides in the ring.)

Santiago: Do you hear that Ronnie? West? Perfect Silence. No whining no bitching, no complaining. Listen to that. Seems like you and I where due to face each other sometime Ronnie. And we get to bring friends, because how special is it to share moments like these with our pals.

(DeSante smiles and laughs as he leans against the ropes and looks over the arena.)

Santiago: I have been called many names. Many of which I cannot repeat here this is after all supposed to be a family show. I have been called a legend, a champion, A nightmare, A myth. So many names and all is bullshit because who really cares. In the end who really gives a shit about it. I love the fans and all the people who enjoy what I do, but given time they will forget too. So what are we left with but those few moments we have in here.

(Desante points to the ring and smiles)

Santiago: Now I am as vain as the rest of them, I feel that I have proven my superiority above most. I feel that I am a main event attraction, but that matter jack as well. Now Ronnie, I am pretty much sure you feel similar. You are confident in what you have accomplished. You feel pride in those things. Now I am wondering if you are able to put those things aside to concentrate on me. Because I am so very vain and I require a lot of attention.

(DeSante starts laughing as he grabs a chair and sets it in the middle of the ring…)

Santiago: Now I know you and your “posse”…How quaint… Are going to prepare well for our match. I know you think you have Logan “handled”. Now Logan and I are two very different people indeed. He is much angrier than I am…too much beer I supposed. But he is a very resilient man. Trust me, I have given him far worse beatings than you could possibly imagine, yet the man keeps going. Now you have him in a very dangerous spot. It’s a spot where he doesn’t like to admit it, but his pride is on the line. And that makes him even more dangerous.

(He smiles and winks)

Santiago: but I’m sure your ok with that. After all a man of your position, knows what pride can do to you. Right Ronnie. So what do you think Ronnie? I’d really like to know. Do you think next Monday will be a cakewalk? Do you think I will be easy to knock down. I do so hope not Ronnie, because that would be very disappointing. And I do so hate being disappointed..

(DeSante sits and breathes in the air)

Santiago: Its been an amazing comeback so far Ronnie. In two matches I have given something that at least I shall remember for a long time. I did what I set out to do with Bladerunner. I did what I set out to do with Captain Fear. Now I have my eyes on my own vanity. You see we are both on a collision course. I cannot attain the World title because Komono has not graced us with an appearance since his incident. And the vain Devil that I can be demands that I reach the pinnacle of all this.

(he extends his arms)


Santiago: I will give everyone something to go home with. You see in my head I know that someone out their in that crowd is watching me for the first or last time. They come hoping for a moment to take home. I want to give it to them. I will face anyone at anytime for anything so those people can get what they paid for. That’s why so many cameras flash when I enter the ring. That why people have begun to chant “Peoples choice” once again. I don’t care about you or even the people you feud with. Jim has his reasons and they are not mine. But he is my friend so come Monday I will be at his side and he will be watching my back. But with Komono out that makes you top dog. King of the Mountain. Kings must fall sometimes Ronnie. Lets Dance.
