Let me chime in a bit. Rick was VERY good at one time, at least in my own opinion. I have an aircheck of it, and I'll try to dig it out, and put it online. Now Rick has always been corny. Deep-thinking humor isn't his bag. But he'd try to keep it pretty clean, which isn't always an easy thing to do.

Unfortunatley, trying to still be funny, on hundreds of stations, and prerecording half your show . . . you can see how it's not quite as good. Plus half the good jokes involved local sponsers and local Los Angeles culture in general.
