Okay, so you're (mostly) right there. Besides, (many) local jocks will track parts of their shifts too, mostly because anymore there are more duties than people available for them. Gotta skimp on time somewhere!

But, that wasn't my point. The thing is, you may do a very good job of that here at Clear Channel in SLC. But that's because its SLC- market #32.

What about poor folks in places like Boise, Twin Falls, Idaho Falls/Pocatello, Bozeman, MT, St. George, and many other small markets? The stations aren't making an effort (or aren't pulling it off) to have that same feel. Listeners hear little interaction, few prize giveaways, and frankly, it might be better just to trash the VT and go satellite part of the day- at least that way someone can try calling in (Jones stations, for ex.) and you have the power of a strong PD, talent, and music library.

I don't think its fair to offer up a Friday weather forecast on a Sunday. Lots of things can change. . .
