Hey, it's cool to hear where evan has been since I lost track of him. A real interesting side-bar type of story about the Vernal/Roosevelt market is that Corporate Radio (Marathon Media and Chris Devine) gave Charly Hall enough money for his Nephi station so he could go buy KXRQ and be some competition for Chris Devine's Brother in law at KLCY and father in law at KIFX! About that share, waterman, is there a wilhite or some sort of study like that being done for the area?? The Fall 2002 ARB (ARB only does the counties outside the metro in spring and fall) had the 12+ 6a-mid mon-Sun for the two counties (duchesne and uinta combined) share for KXRQ at 28.1, KLCY's at 25 and KIFX at 21.9.... if you only take Uinta (the larger one with Vernal in it) KXRQ has a 42.1 Share, KLCY a 26.3 share and KIFX a 15.8 share... if you only take Duchesne KIFX has a 30.8 share, KLCY a 23.1 share and KXRQ a 7.7 share...

Now the Uinta figures might be a little shaky as they only had 23 diaries back in the fall... not enough to do a maximiser run... but by subtracting the duchesne only AQH and Market Total numbers from the combined county numbers and working backwards you can get the uinta only numbers... and statistically for the top couple of stations 12+ weeklong etc... you probably not too far off. The new spring stuff won't be out till July 30th... then we'll be able to check the progress again.... shoot me a note, waterman... would love to hear from you!
